I was asked by 4thebadge to investigate what happen to the raises the County Commissioners approved for the deputies. I have searched for these raises and do not see were any such vote took place. But 4thebadge swears they voted for the raises. I do know that Charlene Sears went from 26,000 to 43,000 about the same time this so called vote took place. Also it has been brought to my attention that a woman at the 911 center also got a raise. None of which was approved by the Commissioners.
So I must ask Sheriff Smith why he did not give the deputies raises, but gave a simpleton file clerk a 17,000 dollar a year raise.
Bill Smith is using the people around him that can't get work in this field elsewhere to plant little things like this. But we no better raises are part of the budget not something the Commissioners vote on.
So where did those raise go. Maybe he gave his drug making buddy a job in the shop and used that to pay him?

After the badge posted his answer to my other post, I posted this on his site, but he still hasn't posted it.
David, you are the one that is now always turning everything negative toward Mr. Berry. A tactic that you say everyone else does. I guess in your mind you do not see this. I never mentioned Mr. Berry's name. Okay, so the commissioners approved the raise, what did slick Willie do with it? Look at all the cars, cell phones (with text messaging and internet capabilities), waste and abuse that is created by Bill. I think all deputies should be provided a cell phone, not just Bill's select few. I am all for you all getting a raise and getting the proper equipment for you to do a better job. I wished he would have taken some of the drug funds and put computers in all of the road patrol cars, like Jacksonville has had for years. You all can't even get a Garmin (gps system) to assist you in locating residences in a timely manner. But if you look in some of the OFFICE personnel vehicles you will see some of these Garmins purchased by the sheriff's office. And yes, there are some in the road patrol cars. However these Garmins were purchased by the individual himself at no cost to the county. And you are hung up on Steve Berry??? I understand, praise the frog pond or leave. You are doing well for Bill, I guess, but not what your site was originally set for. That is your business though David, just glad I can post here. You and I will still be friends long after Bill is gone.
Hey Rick, just think I screwed up an outlet we had to hear of ole slick Willie's good deeds. To get on the "4 the badge" web site, you now have to sign on or that is what I just found out by my last three visits. Guess I should not have tried to let everyone know who is behind the site. I'm so disappointed in 4thebadge. The blog was an enjoyable piece of fiction and looks like they have been canceled. Are you blocking them or did they pull the plug themselves?

I bet that Preston read the sentence just above the signature line that included the words "under penalty of perjury".
Likely, David Rainer is thinking that maybe he should have asked for a break down on the "catch all" category before signing the ones he
did. Unfortunately, for him, he did not think that BTW would be violating the guidelines - big mistake.
