At least when it comes to the budget. The money for payroll is not there. Why? Because lets just say he get $550,000 a month. All that is his 7 Million dollar budget divided into 12 months. Now that normally is enough to cover two payrolls a month, but November has three payrolls. That third payroll is spread out over 12 months. So the money is not there. I will comment more later. So yes the Commissioner should give the Sheriff the third payroll for the month. Yes I was wrong, my apologies, but maybe the Sheriff should have better spokes people to get this info out.

Thats why I stated on Topix normally people in positions such as the Sheriff have a think tank around them. He does not!!! He has the likes of Charlene Sears and Charlie Easterling. If he had someone that could read, write, strategize and comprehend he would have been much further along in his plight.
But based on his camps inability to communicate. It has been difficult for most people to understand that he actually has a valid point. Who would have thought that it would be Sandy Feller that actually gave clarity to his situation.
The Sheriff should really thank Sandy.

No, No, No, Rick. The Sheriff is not right. He is using this as a way of getting people to feel sorry for him and you have fallen right into his scam. If he cannot make three payrolls out of a half million dollars then he needs to resign and leave the problem for someone else. The reason he cannot make a payroll is because he is paying too many people who do nothing. He is wasting the tax money on non essential personnel. He is wasting the tay payors money on gas guzzling vehicles for everyone in his office and God only knows what else he is wasting money on. The County Comm. should refuse to pay his gasoline bills for a couple of months, then he could make a payroll or two. He has always overspent his budgets and the County Commissioners have always looked the other way, well now is the time for them to quit looking the other way. Let him go to the Governor for help. I hope he does. Maybe then somebody in the State Government will come down to Camden County to see just what is going on with our High Sheriff. He has just found another way to try and get sympathy from anyone that will listen to him, such as Sandy (never voted on anything)Feller. And you Rick, should make yourself a little more familiar with County Budgets. But then Feller was there for four years and he certainly didn't learn anything. The Sheriff could have avoided this situation but he chose not to for obvious reasons. He knew he could get some press out of it and he went for the throat. Ha, can't believe anyone would believe anything he says or anything Sandy Feller says.

I agree. This poor pitiful me act was his ace in the hole. You people should know him by now and be able to read him like a book.I believe he knew about this long ago and decided to use it to his advantage.
Rick, tell what or how has the sheriff cut anything out of his budget in the last three months, that has helped to reduce his expenditures. I say the last three months as this is how long the commissionners have been telling him that he cannot have an unlimited budget. The new boat patrolling the water ways and has not brought in one dollar and is using fuel to the tune of $1000 weekly. They have now cut back to three days a week. Wow what a savings. They should park the boat and use it when necessary. Like one commissioner stated, she is witnessing the boat leave the sheriff's dock, taking private citizens on rides. Charlie has told the deputies that are working to stay off the road and not to leave home until they get their first call. Is that to save gas or get the public alarmed and the press involved?? What has the sheriff actually done to cut cost. Their cell phones are a joke. I can understand cell phones to talk and communicated with. But take Dan Lewis for instance, He has internet capability and sends anything and mostly porno pics to different computers at the sheriff's office and yes I was at Proctor's computer when he sent a pic of a naked woman that looked like someone who worked at the sheriff' office. Lewis is a captain that has no office, no official job, does carry a firearm, and is known for his perverted ways of putting up hidden cameras to view women in places such as public restrooms. The sheriff knows this and yet he will tell you that Dan is the official Weather and Hurricane specialist that will assist the county and FEMA should we have severe weather. And what does Dan make. Enough to easily dismiss him and make the monthly payroll that the employees will miss. By the way it will probably be a few months before we actually know if any of the captains and above in reality miss a pay day. Why you ask, they were at work yesterday, ya heard?????
Tell your tax payers if they need questions answered call the commissioners .They took the Sheriff's Office money for payroll so most all the people that can help them are not there .Police officers don't have enough gas to go to calls except emergency ones.What does that tell you.Take some more money commissioners.See what the tax payers tell you then.
If Charlene would go back to driving her diesel bug and pay for her on fuel, and park the mamoth gas guzzler, that would save arond $1200.00 amonth, Doreen would quit using her offical car for K mart runs, and get that damn cell phone payed for by the taxpayers out of her ear, and give back a good days work, And Lewis he's just another Godley, we could darn sure clean house and make budget, and keep the good ones doing the fine job that they are doing.As one of BTW's famous muderer trusty's would always say, ye heard???

Why wouldn't he have enough gas to run the essential vehicles. Because he has used it all up running the road from here to Charleston and whereever else he wants to go and he has kept the non essential vehicles on the road going to and from home, shopping, probably vacations and whatever else they want to use them for. Give me a break. If Bill Smith is so smart, he needs to take a look at his budget and figure out why he is short of money in his budget. But no, he has not done that because he has left that up to the non essentials in his office to do and they obviously don't know what they are doing or why. If you give his department 7 million dollars to run on, then it is his responsibility to see that it is done by cutting out the things that can wait until the next budget year. Thats what other departments do, why should his be any different. Because he thinks he is above all that and that is why he has over spent his budget every year he has been in office.
