Great job, Rick. I knew we could all count on you to get it 'em klarge enough to read. Like I've said, I am literally having to use a magnifying glass to read the original - and I have 20-15 vision!
Folks, as you can see, there are some very curious expenditures where the damned handwriting is so illegible and or the notation is so cryptic that I may be a while figuring out what thy were for - if ever.
There are so many checks that are questionable, cannot read most and expecially the notations. I see where they paid Camden Collision $5,131.77 in Feb. 08. I'm wondering if this was a County Insured Vehicle why were they paying out of this fund. Could this have been an accident that the Ins. would not pay or maybe someones personal car? Also see where he paid James D. Benefield III a retainer $3ooo. and guess that is for Billy personally because it was to run through 6/08.
Does anyone have a current list of Sheriff's Office, Jail and 911 employees? Would love to see if any of these College tuitions and payments for books are not employees. All the checks to different Gas Credit Cards not to mention the checks to Gowan's who fills the tanks at the S.O., these should be budgeted items so am assuming he is paying out of the Shared Assets to avoid critisism of the use of gas guzzling vehicles and boats? Also, hope everyone notices the Cell phone bills. That is a joke. They have radios in the deputies vehicles why not use the radio and let 911 patch them to whomever they need to talk to. Guess its just private and personal calls, HuH?
Yeah, I'll be getting around to the gas credit cards this week. As you've no doubt observed, there are multiple cards from different companies. One is no doubt in Big Thug's wallet to gas up in Charleston. I wonder who carries the others.
As to Gowan Oil, I had thje exact same thought. I thought the fule was in the budget approved by the commissioners. I know for dmaned certian that buying fuel is not allowed by either the state or federal guidelines. In fact, it is specifically prohibited.

MELON HEAD WAS PUSHING PRETTY HARD TO GET HIM PUT ON THE ROAD. THEY ATTEMPTED TO START UP A SWAT TEAM AT ONE POINT; WITH JAMES TEACHING CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE (CQB), SINCE HE WAS ALSO A FORMER MARINE.
