Welcome To The New Real School Police

The Godley Files

http://thegodleyfiles.blogspot.com/

The complete P.O.S.T record of Bob Godley. The former cop that thinks the whole county owes him an apology for his bad behavior.

There is a new blogger in town, who is also upset with this school system. Thank you Paul for standing up for what is right, and not backing down to the ESTABLISHMENT.

Slanderous Statement By Charlene Sears

I am issuing this statement to bring clarification to two issues that have unfortunately become problematic.

Issue One. There is no conflict of interest in my being an employee of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and my serving on the Camden County Board of Commissioners. I work for Sheriff Smith and do my best to complete the tasks he assigns, but I was also elected by the people to serve as a County Commissioner. Jim Proctor, who is currently the Jail Administrator at the Camden County Sheriff’s Office also served on the Board of Commissioners while employed by Sheriff Smith. His solution was to join in all discussions by the board but not to vote on any budget line items concerning the Sheriff’s Office. This precedent worked well for Maj. Proctor and I see no reason why it will not work equally well for me.

Issue two. There has been some discussion about an entry that was posted on a blog hosted by Mr. Rick Rogers. The entry was made as a response to a posting by Mr. Rogers in which he insinuated that I was having an inappropriate relationship with Sheriff Smith. As a wife of 14 years I was stung by his unfounded, unsubstantiated and malicious attack. I did post a response on his blog and my response was posted from a Sheriff’s Office computer. I checked the blog entry while at work after it was brought to my attention. It was not the best way, nor the best forum to respond and rest assured it will not happen again. I now understand that in my position I must accept these criticisms, no matter how unfounded, as part of the job of serving as a county commissioner.

Comment by Rick Rogers
This whole Sears deal in really confusing. Who is the boss? Ms. Sears or Bill Smith. Is Bill her boss during the day and she is his boss at night. I don’t understand how the state could say that there is no conflict of interest here.

Does any one see anything about her and the Sheriff having any kind of sexual relations here?????????????

Like I have said if this statement makes it way to the paper I will sue Camden County. My lawyers are in place and I will be contacting the Attorney General and the Camden County DA to press criminal charges. Ms. Sears, I expected more from an elected official A simple phone call could have ended this. I asked several times for the commission to call me.
No one did. So continue on with your no commenting selves and I guess I will see you in court.

Oh man. I don't know who she thinks she is. She is playing a game my ten year old often plays. It's the, I know I did something wrong but he started it game. Playing the victim to the end. Here's the deal Mrs. Sears, you are a grown women. You DO NOT respond to negative innuendo's they way that you did. It is like a third grader scorned.

The bigger issue. This is Mr. Rogers PERSONAL blog. He can say whatever he pleases short of threatening someone and it is his right. You don't want to know what he says, don't read it. And, no offense Rick, but do you know how many people in the county don't read this blog, almost the entire county. In the blogs history he has had around 450 views, so some perspective, please.

Do you Mrs. Sears have any idea the amount of hearsay that goes on for politicians above your position. You, mam, are not cut out to play with the big boys. What is worse is that you are a women and this just proves the men that believe we are not capable to hold these positions objectably.

Oh yeah, talk yourself into that whole it's not a conflict of interest all you want, but guess what, it is a mute point because using your position there to access the information you did proves us right.

I just spoke with a lady that had called Judge Williams number to ask for Dennis Perry's plea be thrown out and to grant him a new trial. Guess what? As soon as Dennis' name was mentioned, the secretary or whoever she was got very cold and told the lady she would have to send the judge a fax or write her a letter. AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T GIVE HER THE FAX NUMBER!! She was told she would have to write a letter..which the lady has done. Does that tell you there is something wrong with this case? You people in Camden County better wake up and smell the roses before you find yourself in the same position that Dennis is in. He isn't asking to be released. Just for a FAIR trial!!
