The complete P.O.S.T record of Bob Godley. The former cop that thinks the whole county owes him an apology for his bad behavior.

There is a new blogger in town, who is also upset with this school system. Thank you Paul for standing up for what is right, and not backing down to the ESTABLISHMENT.

Questions Answered By Sheriff

These are the 5 questions Tripp and his anoy buddies wanted answered.

I would like some answers Rick, you always know how to break the TRUTH to the public,

1. Has Sheriff Gregory hired back the deputies that were fired for the chase that excessive force was used in the multi county chase.

2. Has he also hired a pawn broker from a Kingsland pawn shop that is drawing a check from Black Water on workmans comp. and working under the table at the pawn shop, as a part-time deputy.

3. Has Tommy hired the Deputy back that took the inmates illegally to South Carolina per the GBI investigation to fix Big Willies house.

4. Has Tommy paid a higher salary to the St.Marys Officers that were hired in as Deputies above the salary of Deputies with years of seniority.

5. Did Tommy fire people and hire them back at a much cheaper pay-rate telling them that's what he had to do to be legal. But later just cut other officers pay and strip their rank. Tell us which method is the proper way of screwing over long time dedicated employees.

Sheriff Gregory explains a couple of these questions in Fridays paper(1/30/09.

From the T&G:
CCSO staffing profile shifts
By Emily Goodson

Sheriff Tommy Gregory has made dramatic changes to his department's staffing profile within his first month in office.
5. Did Tommy fire people and hire them back at a much cheaper pay-rate telling them that's what he had to do to be legal. But later just cut other officers pay and strip their rank. Tell us which method is the proper way of screwing over long time dedicated employees.

Twenty-seven Camden County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) staff members were relieved of duty Jan. 4, though several of those have been hired back at lower rates. Other hires have been made to help save money on salaries and benefits in a time when budgets are tight throughout Camden County.

Jim Proctor, Faye Chancey and Tim Simpson, three of the 27 deputies who were let go when Gregory took office, re-applied for jobs at the sheriff's office and were rehired earlier this month at lower pay rates than they had previously, Gregory said.
4. Has Tommy paid a higher salary to the St.Marys Officers that were hired in as Deputies above the salary of Deputies with years of seniority.
Gregory also hired several part-time deputies to help fill open patrol slots, he said. Some of those deputies received a slightly higher hourly rate than full-time deputies, but part-timers do not receive benefits, Gregory said.
"It's a way for me to cut down on overtime," he said.
1. Has Sheriff Gregory hired back the deputies that were fired for the chase that excessive force was used in the multi county chase.
In addition, two deputies terminated from the department in 2006 are now back on the road. Albert Bannon Crosby serves as a full-time patrol deputy, while Richard Sean Billington now works as a part-time deputy.
Former sheriff Bill Smith fired Crosby and Billington on March 1, 2006 after a CCSO internal investigation found that both deputies violated the department's pursuit and use of force policies during and after a high-speed chase involving a North Carolina man.
The chase began on a Camden County stretch of Interstate 95 after Crosby clocked Irwin Kirk Griffen, of Cary, N.C., traveling 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. Griffen's escape attempt lasted almost an hour and covered three southeast Georgia counties.
Police officers finally stopped Griffen's vehicle in Nahunta using stop sticks, which are designed to flatten a car's tires. Video footage recorded on a patrol car camera shows a Brantley County deputy punching Griffen in the head and shoulders and two Camden County deputies kneeing Griffen in the back and spraying him with pepper spray.
Gregory said that the methods used to subdue Griffen were standard moves taught by law enforcement academies.
"It wasn't excessive force," he said.
Smith hired Billington back in early 2007, but Crosby's return to the department came just this year. Gregory said that Crosby is still on probation with the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) for violation of department policy.
Ryan Powell, POST public information officer, confirmed Wednesday that Crosby's probation extends until May 4. POST administrators will monitor Crosby until that time, and any further violations may instigate a review of his certification, Powell said.
Gregory said that Crosby serves as a fully certified deputy.
"He's got full arrest powers," Gregory said.

Now, for some reason you wanted me to answer these questions that should have been directed to the Sheriff. I have never asked you questions about Bill Smith, I always asked question to the person that did the action. But I will play your silly games. Here are my answers to your questions....
1. Has Sheriff Gregory hired back the deputies that were fired for the chase that excessive force was used in the multi county chase.
I guess you didn't do your homework, as I was against the firing of these two from the beginning. I said that if I was chasing this guy, I would have probably done the same thing. Anyone that leads the cops on a three county chase is capable of anything. I was against hiring one back but not the other as it would result in a lawsuit. AND WHAT HAPPENED?

Don't believe me, look it up. It's on Topix and this blog.

2. Has he also hired a pawn broker from a Kingsland pawn shop that is drawing a check from Black Water on workmans comp. and working under the table at the pawn shop, as a part-time deputy.

I have no idea who you are talking about. Why not just tell us his name?
I am sure you know who they are talking about Tripp, as you know everything, so just tell us his name.

3. Has Tommy hired the Deputy back that took the inmates illegally to South Carolina per the GBI investigation to fix Big Willies house.

Is this a problem? Why not hire a deputy that tells the truth? This deputy told the FEDS the truth, I would have hired him to. It's not about what they have done wrong, it's about telling the truth when they are caught.

4. Has Tommy paid a higher salary to the St.Marys Officers that were hired in as Deputies above the salary of Deputies with years of seniority.

Does time as a cop elsewhere count? I know in my jobs, sometimes I started with more pay than some others with more years, but I had more experience than them. This happens in every line of work, and is really a stupid question.

5. Did Tommy fire people and hire them back at a much cheaper pay-rate telling them that's what he had to do to be legal. But later just cut other officers pay and strip their rank. Tell us which method is the proper way of screwing over long time dedicated employees.

Simple answer is yes. And those who that happened to got what they deserved, Iam sure. If you don't think so, then tell us who was done wrong!!! He was elected Sheriff to try and save the taxpayers money, not to be a Smith Jr. So I am sorry anoy if you lost your job, or got your rank stripped or your pay cut, but you probably got much more than other deputies that have been there a lot longer than you under Smith.

It nice to see that those who have been stuck in the jail for years with the promise of going to patrol school are finally getting that chance.

FINALLY GOOD NEWS FROM THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE....

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MARY ANN SEAMENS AND JUDY GODLEY'S LETTER TO THE EDITOR PRAISING THE NEW SHERIFF FOR BRINGING US GOOD NEWS. WE HAVEN'T HAD THAT FOR A WHILE.

Thanks for leaving your comments on this worthless blog, I guess it's not worthless to you, or you wouldn't continue to read and leave comments.

Tripp I can always tell when your back on the coke as you leave comments filled with cuss words. Please Don't use cuss words on my site, as it makes you look bad, as I don't cuss at you.

Thanks for reading.

I AM BACK AND READY TO GO.

Nah..Rick's not finished and thank goodness he isn't. Rick helped to bring out a lot of truth's about Bill Smith during the election campaign. Things that the citizens of this county weren't privy to, otherwise, to make them aware of what was going on in their county and the elected officials. Don't you dare stop, Rick. We need you!!!

I just spoke with a lady that had called Judge Williams number to ask for Dennis Perry's plea be thrown out and to grant him a new trial. Guess what? As soon as Dennis' name was mentioned, the secretary or whoever she was got very cold and told the lady she would have to send the judge a fax or write her a letter. AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T GIVE HER THE FAX NUMBER!! She was told she would have to write a letter..which the lady has done. Does that tell you there is something wrong with this case? You people in Camden County better wake up and smell the roses before you find yourself in the same position that Dennis is in. He isn't asking to be released. Just for a FAIR trial!!
