As I thought they could not come up with any evidence that any such request was made to the DOJ. But for $192.00 they will look harder.
Here is The Sheriff's response:
Dear Mr. Rogers,
The following is in response to your Open Records request, received by the Camden County Sheriff's Office on January 10, 2008.
An initial search has been conducted but the information you requested was not located. If you desire a further more detailed search, a search and retrieval fee will be charged at the rate of the lowest paid employee that is able to conduct the search. That rate would be $12.00/hr. at approximately 16 hours. You may mail a check or money order made payable to the Camden County Sheriff's Office for $192.00. If it takes less time than estimated, the difference will be refunded to you. If the information is located it will be made available for review at the Sheriff's Office. If you have any further questions you may contact me at 912-510-5100.

You should send an open records request act to the county manager and see how much Capt. Walker was paid last year.

What is HQ Commander? He head of the queens? Should be PLO, permanent litrine orderly, but he ain't smart enough to qualify
Why should you have to pay because someone in the CCSO can't file important documents in a safe place? That's BS! Who takes care of this? They should be fired or have to pay someone to correct their mistake. Oh and I liked it when I read Rick could come to the sheriff's office to REVIEW them! Thats hilarious! If I pay $192 for someone to find documents that were "misplaced" you can bet your ass a copy of them are going with me!!!!
Apparently, Charlene was a much more simple "simple file clerk" than we previously knew.
Let's face it: the CCSO, from Big Willie down thru several layers of his upper echelon, constitute an ongoing criminal enterprise. You might as well have requested illicit revenue figures from Capone, Gambino, Lucasi, et al.
Just like evidence going missing out of the evidence room. You ain't gettin' nothing if they don't want you to have it.!! When is something going to be done about this Hitler and his Gestapo?
