Welcome To The New Real School Police

My newest blog, since I have more time on my hands now!!!

The Godley Files

The complete P.O.S.T record of Bob Godley. The former cop that thinks the whole county owes him an apology for his bad behavior.

There is a new blogger in town, who is also upset with this school system. Thank you Paul for standing up for what is right, and not backing down to the ESTABLISHMENT.

Camden County Schools To Raise Your Taxes

The following is the agenda of the Call Meeting of the Board of Education:

Camden County Schools

5:00:00 PM
311 South East Street
P.O. Box 1330
Kingsland, GA 31548

Herbert Rowland - Chairman Dr. Will Hardin - Superintendent

I. CALL TO ORDER - Chairperson, Herbert Rowland
a. Tentative Adoption of Millage Rate

Once again I must tell you "I Told You So"!

Dr. Will said that if you don't vote for the ESPLOST we will have to raise your taxes!

"If you don't, We will"
Sounds like he is saying we don't care what you think. If you remember many of us were against the ESPLOST, only because of the economy. I don't think anyone can be against ESPLOST, we were just against the timing. Even Dr. Will said the timing wasn't right. But he went ahead and recommended it to the board. And of course the board didn't question it? The people chosen to represent us, didn't question it.

So now we come to the millage rate. Better know as Taxes!!!!! In this case higher taxes!!!!!

You know that is what is going to happen, they have to, they have no choice at this point, With tax revenues down because of the recession, the same reason ESPLOST will fail, they have to raise taxes! And when ESPLOST fails, and it will fail to raise enough money, who will pay?

Remember they wanted ESPLOST so they wouldn't have to raise your taxes.

and I ain't going believe that old line "no one could have seen this coming!!!!!!!!

By law, ESPLOST reveneues can only be used to finance capital improvements. They can not be used to cover operating expenses.

Conversely, ad valorem taxes may be used to cover BOTH capital improvements (i.e., new school buildings) AND operatoing expenses.

So, you see, when Hardin said that passing ESPLOST would obviate the need for raising ad valorem taxes by an amount neeed to pay for new schools, he was absolutely correct.

I just spoke with a lady that had called Judge Williams number to ask for Dennis Perry's plea be thrown out and to grant him a new trial. Guess what? As soon as Dennis' name was mentioned, the secretary or whoever she was got very cold and told the lady she would have to send the judge a fax or write her a letter. AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T GIVE HER THE FAX NUMBER!! She was told she would have to write a letter..which the lady has done. Does that tell you there is something wrong with this case? You people in Camden County better wake up and smell the roses before you find yourself in the same position that Dennis is in. He isn't asking to be released. Just for a FAIR trial!!
