This jury was not looking into any of Bill's wrong doing. Their job was to review policy, and policy only. Yes all these people with ties to the Sheriff should not judge the policies he has, but this is small stuff. I really don't see anything wrong with the policy of the Sheriff's office with respect to the trusty program. IF ONLY SMITH WOULD FOLLOW HIS OWN POLICY. But this grand jury did not hear evidence of wrong doing, that was not their job. That job went on in Savannah, and I have been told that the Feds will indite him on 17 counts.
Don't look for this to be made public until at least the end of May or early June. Unless Bill can find some way to prolong his own agony.

willie is on borrowed time folks, he should be doing his job and use some of the drug funds to replace the patrol cars that have exceeded 200,000 miles, but being the arrogant ass he is he wants the money to come from the ccc's office.

You can't tell me that Bill Smith doesn't cover his ass!! An ex-deputy as foreman of the jury, and a thief that still works in the sherrif's office? I'd say he covers it pretty good. Here's hoping that the Feds aren't as blind as his buddies in Camden. And Rick..I hope yoe're right about the indictments. I hope they give the SOB 30 days in the electric chair!!!

I don't know why he doesn't sell all the cars he's letting people use. With the cars being sold you could take some money from the drug fund and add both amounts together.
With the cost of gas so high, I don't know why all those people aren't using their own vehicles to go back and forth to work. Just imagine how much gas is being "pissed" away by all those folks. Just another BIG waste of taxpayer money being jammed up our butts by a piece of $hit sheriff.

What other companies furnish employees with a vehicle AND a gas card so they have a way to work? NONE!!!!! So, why should he? heehee Because..those people are in his hip pocket and they watch his back...that's why..so he can be cleared by the grand jury ..regardless what he does.
I think the feds have a target on the sheriff's head and he won't be getting away from the feds.

But..he never gives up, does he? Now he wants money from next years budget to buy new patrol cars. If he took some of the vehicles that the SO furnishes (along with gas cards) for employees...maybe he'd have that money he needs. But...oh, I forgot...then those people wouldn't be there to sing his praises and help him get his ass out of a crack!!
