The Godley Files

The complete P.O.S.T record of Bob Godley. The former cop that thinks the whole county owes him an apology for his bad behavior.

There is a new blogger in town, who is also upset with this school system. Thank you Paul for standing up for what is right, and not backing down to the ESTABLISHMENT.

I Can Not Comment On This On Going Case!!!! What Happened To Policy????/

From the Tribune And Georgian

Letters
Sheriff's office throws constitution out the window
Dear Editor, I am writing in response to Ms. Judy Godley's letter, "Berry must choose which side of the fence to be on," March 19. I would love to agree with her, but the laws of this nation say that this man is innocent until proven guilty.I would think a family of law enforcement officers would know that, and why this case? I am sure Berry has defended many people who have broken the law in Camden County, why now? Could this be a political attack like we hear the sheriff say all the time when Berry points out his wrongdoing? Yet, all Berry is doing is defending a man we are to assume is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
My only question to Ms. Godley is where are your other letters? The letters about the sheriff defending a convicted murder, bringing a convicted meth maker back to the county, and of course the letter about the Sheriff's best friend and convicted felon. Where were those letters Ms. Godley?Let's be fair Ms. Godley, if you're going to complain about a conflict of interest, I would expect to see a letter from you next month criticizing Ms. Sears for voting on sheriff's office matters as she is an employee of the sheriff and should not vote on these issues. What is the difference between Berry defending a presumed innocent man and Sears voting on sheriff's office matters? No, I am not an advocate for Berry. In fact I am encouraging all the citizens of Camden County to vote out the present establishment. I do applaud Mr. Berry for standing up and informing the people of Camden County of what we have been saying for years about the sheriff's office, but I can't overlook the years that he overlooked these issues.

TRSP Review:
I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry folks, I had things to do. But I am back and ready to go again. Was that letter by Ms. Godley pure crap?

This next letter is ironic. I have no idea who this person is, but they hit the nail on the head.

Letters
No conflict of interest in Berry's case
Dear Editor, In response to Judy Godley's March 19 letter, "(Steve) Berry must choose which side of the fence to be on," a county commissioner neither legislates nor enforces drug law, so how can there exist a "conflict of interest"?An attorney's vocation requires that he defend the accused. Everyone is entitled to this defense by the Constitution of the United States of America. Innocent until proven guilty - there is no exclusion for drug traffickers, terrorists, traitors, murderers or child molesters.
Mr. Berry's issue with the sheriff has no bearing on the right of the individual to the choice of counsel in defense of an accusation or charge nor with an individual's right to practice their vocation. In the current political climate, support of the Constitution and defense of the rights of every citizen as guaranteed in that Constitution merits a person "liberal" or "left wing" or, worse, their integrity is questionable or they are unpatriotic. It is no longer politically correct to be a Constitutionalist.

Rick..There was an article in the paper that said Bill Smith was going to run for re-election. Does this mean there was no indictment by the grand jury? What happened there? It's all been mighty quiet.

RICK! Welcome back!

You can bet there is no joy in Thuggieville at this moment!

Thanks for your compliments over on my blog. I hope that I'll someday be as skillful as you.

I liked your letter to the editor and I agree: Ms. Rewis letter hit it right on the head.

The irony of Berry earning a legal fee off of someone BTW's drug squad has popped is truly delicious. You know it has to be rankling BTW's ass something fierce!

The indictments are coming. Smith
is maintaining his "all is well" bravado while the USS Willie is going down.

P. S. Mrs. Godley's letter to the editor was 100% pure crap - or maybe that should be pure hog$hit.

I think Bill made a TERRIBLE blunder.

What if he met with the higher ups at a secret location "last week" Govenor included and they agreed to lighten his load. And instead of Bill holding onto this card; he played it. This now would present a problem for the people trying to lighten his load, because he told everyone the plan by annoucing his candidacy immediately.

Now Stein, Berry and others with question the judicial process if his load is lighten. He really needs to stop listening to HIM.

I HEARD ABOUT THE MEETING.....

Welcome back Rick, your letter to the editor was perfect. You really had me going at first. I thought you were endorsing/supporting Steve Berry. Then you concluded it perfectly. It's been a long time since a letter to the editor held my attention/suspense in that way.

Clean the slate in 08.

I have not heard about the meeting. Tell us more.

We need more do gooders and tree huggers like Ms. Rewis who live in a land of make believe, in Mr. Rogers neighborhood! I Think Ms. Rewis don't understand the actual job of a county commissioner. They are the voice for the people, unfortunately none of them know how to hear, let alone speak.

to bad the majority of the Commisoners have their noses up the sheriff's but, and don't vote the will of the people they represent.(Charlene)

I just spoke with a lady that had called Judge Williams number to ask for Dennis Perry's plea be thrown out and to grant him a new trial. Guess what? As soon as Dennis' name was mentioned, the secretary or whoever she was got very cold and told the lady she would have to send the judge a fax or write her a letter. AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T GIVE HER THE FAX NUMBER!! She was told she would have to write a letter..which the lady has done. Does that tell you there is something wrong with this case? You people in Camden County better wake up and smell the roses before you find yourself in the same position that Dennis is in. He isn't asking to be released. Just for a FAIR trial!!
