Subject: Re: Bob Godley Settlement Open Records Request
Since you all want to ignore my emails, I am requesting under the open records act of Georgia any and all information pertaining to the settlement between Robert Godley and Camden County. This is to include all letters, faxes, and emails of any sort relating to the settlement.
As always I expect to hear from you within 3 days as required by law.

And the second response:
Rick,
At this time no Conciliation Agreements have been reached between the EEOC, the Charging Party (RG) and the Respondent (CCSO).
The County Attorney has advised, in the event a settlement agreement is reached with the EEOC, you must understand that these are confidential agreements per Federal Statute and are not subject to disclosure, as a stipulation of the settlement agreement between all parties.
If need anything further please contact me and I will do my best to assist you.

I decided I needed this to be a little more clearer for those (Bob Godley) who won't understand it.
Here it is:
Thank you Katie,
So let me make sure I have this right, The Conciliation Agreements would be between the CCSO and Bob Godley and the EEOC, correct?
Then all the commissioners do is to vote yes or no on the agreement. I am correct with this thinking?
In other words the commissioners will not work out the agreement with Godley, only the Sheriff and the EEOC. Correct?
I really don't know if I have that right, and we really shouldn't even have to discuss this, as I don't believe we should give that man one dime as he is the one that called himself a sexual predator. And he got off easy with being fired.

And of course Katie and her quick response once again thank you Katie:
(My questions are in red)
Rick,
Please find below a response to your questions in your previous email:
So let me make sure I have this right, The Conciliation Agreements would be between the CCSO and Bob Godley and the EEOC, correct?
No, any settlement agreements would be between the Camden County Sheriff's Office and the EEOC representing Robert Godley.
Then all the commissioners do is to vote yes or no on the agreement. I am correct with this thinking?
No, the Board of County Commissioners is not a party to this EEOC Complaint. The Insurance Company is providing a defense for the Camden County Sheriff's Office under the Law Enforcement Insurance Liability Policy.
In other words the commissioners will not work out the agreement with Godley, only the Sheriff and the EEOC. Correct?
Negotiations are through the Insurance Defense Firm and the EEOC, an organization, representing Robert Godley. Any settlement offers from the EEOC would be directed to the Camden County Sheriff's Office and the Board of County Commissioners would not be required to approve.
However, in the event that the insurance company wants to settle a claim or suit it will consult with the Sheriff of their intentions. If the Sheriff refuses to consent to any settlement offer the insurance company wishes to settle, the County coffers (TAXPAYER DOLLARS) would assume liability costs above the amount as of the date of such refusal.
